Fran\u00e7ois Moysan<\/strong>, piano et FM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

N\u00e9 \u00e0 Angers, Fran\u00e7ois Moysan grandit \u00e0 Chartres o\u00f9 il effectue ses \u00e9tudes au Lyc\u00e9e Marceau et au Conservatoire \u00e0 Rayonnement D\u00e9partemental en jazz, en piano classique et en \u00e9criture.
Apr\u00e8s un Baccalaur\u00e9at section Litt\u00e9raire, il int\u00e8gre le cursus jazz du 9e arrondissement de Paris o\u00f9 il \u00e9tudie aupr\u00e8s de Jacques Schneck et Nicolas Dary. C’est aussi l\u00e0 qu’il rencontre Manuel Rocheman, celui-ci lui transmet l’h\u00e9ritage de Martial Solal et enrichit sa connaissance du pianisme sp\u00e9cifique au jazz. Apr\u00e8s un DEM d\u2019\u00c9criture au Conservatoire \u00e0 Rayonnement R\u00e9gional de Paris, il est admis au Conservatoire National pour la rentr\u00e9e 2015 et en sort dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 au grade de Master mention Tr\u00e8s Bien en juin 2021, muni de trois prix: Harmonie,
Contrepoint et Fugue.
Pour son m\u00e9moire de Master il transcrit un piano solo complet de Martial Solal \u00e0 la Maison de la Radio, ‘Round Midnight, admir\u00e9 par le ma\u00eetre en personne.
Fran\u00e7ois Moysan s’investit \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent tout particuli\u00e8rement au sein de FMD, son duo avec le batteur R\u00e9mi M\u00e9tral, ainsi que dans son propre quartet de jazz contemporain o\u00f9 il d\u00e9couvre de nouveaux d\u00e9fis et par l\u00e0 de nouvelles perspectives, en d\u00e9fendant un r\u00e9pertoire de morceaux originaux.
Ses comp\u00e9tences de musicien et d’improvisateur sont encore plus saisissantes lorsqu’il joue en public avec sa propre musique, forte de ses ann\u00e9es aupr\u00e8s des grands organistes Pierre Pincemaille et Thierry Escaich, deux de ses mentors.
Fran\u00e7ois Moysan est aussi professeur ind\u00e9pendant de musique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Angers, Fran\u00e7ois Moysan grew up in Chartres where he went to the Lyc\u00e9e Marceau and studied jazz, classical piano and composition at the Conservatoire \u00e0 Rayonnement D\u00e9partemental.
After a Baccalaur\u00e9at in Literary Studies, he entered the jazz cursus of the 9th arrondissement in Paris where he studied alongside Jacques Schneck and Nicolas Dary. There, he also met Manuel Rocheman. The former passed the legacy of Martial Solal onto him and enriched his knowledge of jazz pianism. After a diploma in composition at the Conservatoire \u00e0 Rayonnement R\u00e9gional of Paris, he was admitted to the CNSMDP for the new school year of 2015 and graduated in june 2021 with a Master’s degree magna cum laude, holding three
prizes: Harmony, Counterpoint & Fugue.
For his Master thesis, he transcribes a complete piano solo of Martial Solal at Maison De La Radio, ‘Round Midnight, praised by the master himself.
Fran\u00e7ois Moysan now invests himself particularly in FMD, his duo with the drummer R\u00e9mi Metral and within his own contemporary jazz quartet, discovering new challenges and fostering new perspectives all while defending a repertoire of original tunes.
His skills as a musician and improviser are even more striking when he is playing live with his own compositions, strong from his years with the great organists Pierre Pincemaille and Thierry Escaich, two of his mentors.
